HEY THERE,

In the field of textiles, Fishnet is a hosiery with an open, diamond-shaped knit; it is most often used as a material for stockings, tights, or bodystockings. Fishnet is available in a multitude of colors, although it is most often sported in traditional matte black. Fishnets are used mostly as a type of undergarment, and in as much as it defines curves by applying a grid close to the body it generally accentuates the wearer’s muscular definition.

A more practical use of fishnet textiles is in high performance next-to-skin apparel used in cold weather outdoor sports, including hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, and mountaineering. In this context, fishnet is usually knitted from fibers of polypropylene, merino wool, or nylon, and offers a number of benefits over traditional densely knitted base layer apparel. These benefits are related to the presence of large void spaces in the fishnet fabric structure that trap insulating air for warmth in cool conditions, and allow for the rapid transport of moisture from the skin surface to outer layers to minimize conductive heat loss.

So now you all know about the Fishnet, let me tell how you can style them, like the one I m wearing is fishnet body stocking.

After a profound and long Instagram research I have reached to the conclusion that in order to nail the Instagram fishnet trend we need to start off easy:

You can wear fishnet socks. They are the perfect quirky dramatic cool details to an otherwise normal outfit. From heels to sneakers, to sandals to brogues – fishnet socks are the cool and sexy at the same time.

You can wear fishnets underneath ripped jeans. It’s a very ratchet but super cool look, sort of like undone glam, urban, details-make-an-outfit sort of style. You have seen in cover photo of my blog.

Let your fishnets’ waistband peek from under your mom jeans and crop top. Apparently this is the massive #OOTD Instagram invasion involving fishnets. This is easy to do, but obviously not for office wear, nor for everybody.

You can style it like I have done Fishnets Body Stockings. TBH for me this is the hardest look to pull off. You can either wear tiny gap (space) fishnets or the big gap like the one I love. Team up classic black high heels and dress, shorts or skirt.

You can try and experiment with trendy and sophisticated pieces.

Here at TSS, like I say wear what’s in THE SEASON STYLE.
